Well the Ottman.org site is getting a makeover. I will be working on setting up a Johnston and McGuire sub domain so that the McGuire and Johnston parts of the family can have something on the web. I am going to get Pete( Pete Ottman-my brother) involved in the site to help with the Ottman and the McGuire parts. I should try to get Harold(Harold Johnston--Deb Ottman's brother) involved with the Johnston site.
Kristin comes back from computer camp today where she has been taking classes on Game Design and Multimedia. Sarah finishes her first week of Summer School and is doing well. Sarah is also working for a couple of weeks helping with remodeling a Ranch house close to Woodland, CA. With the hot weather (103º) Sarah is really earning her Pay!

Progress on the site. I have made a sub domain for Johnston. it is http://johnston.ottman.org I will continue working on adding sub domains and making buttons for them.
Kristin had a great time at her camp. She made a game and earned a certificate. I am now supposed to buy her "Multimedia Fusion". I may or may not.
Vacation plans change. We had a chance to go to Hawaii but likely won't. The driving to Missouri and Illinois plan has changed into a flying plan, which is fine by me.

Well, Hello July! Independence day is coming up and Friday will be a day off. It will be great to get away from here. Web redesign for UCD English, New Department chair, wiping computers during staff vacations is getting old. Also getting old is people giving me their user names and passwords. It's a good thing I choose to use my powers for good instead of evil...

The McGuire.ottman.org sub domain has been created. Pete Ottman is working on it and will have some pictures there soon. Mom and Karen & her kids come to woodland tomorrow. We will be going to a memorial for our Uncle John, my Grandpas identical twin brother. He live nearly ten years longer than grandpa. Genes only go so far...Mom and crew will continue on to Southern California to visit Pete.

We went to a Memorial Service for my
Great Uncle, John McGuire on Saturday. It was bowling in Santa Cruz! The
McGuire's like to have party's instead of regular services which is fine
by me. Kristin bowled for the first time. Deb and I are still as bad as
ever at bowling. I stayed at my 80 to 100 average...We went to Joan's house
afterwards and visited and ate more food. We went home through Watsonville
and happened to pass Marteneli's apple cider plant. I saluted with a bottle
of juice I happened to have with me. I have pictures and will put them on
the McGuire.ottman.org site when it is up.

Still hot here--104 yesterday with high humidity. Not much going on today--Met a new faculty--Michael Ziser and am happy he is a PC user. I will be working on his $4000.00 computer budget tomorrow. He will be able to get a lot of things with that money.

It's an odd day for california--cloudy and 85°. I work in the English Department at UC Davis. I am a Computer Resource Specialist II. That translates to taking care of anything related to computers, even televisions. What Televisions aren't computers you ask? That doesn't matter...Today I am backing up, formatting, installing the OS and programs and restoring files on a staff computer. She went on vacation knowing I was going to do this, yet set Eudora to send a timed email for today. The computer was off when I got to it. She won't be back until the 28't and the message told instructors to pick up a packed of stuff needed for the end of the quarter and it is due on the 30th. I had Eudora send the email but it caused a bit of a stir since the Undergraduate counselor was cc'd and noticed the email went out two hours early....

I am going in vacation next week. We will be going to Chicago for a family reunion with my wifes mothers family and then to Missouri for a reunion with my wifes fathers family. I will have lots of pictures for the Johnston family site...
I got an email today from Jim Ottman form New York. He is going to send me and extended family tree and hopefully some more information for the Geneology site. I did some more site work today on the Ottman site and will hopefully be able to do more soon.
Busy day today getting ready for vacation..
